This type of trip is aimed at schools / academies and groups of at least 15 students who want to enjoy 1 to 2 weeks in a native environment.

 

The purpose of the trip is to live English life as a student, where the student has an intense program of activities and classes every day.

BROADSTAIRS

The city of is located on the coast of the United Kingdom - Sussex, surrounded by one of the most attractive environments in the country. In this town there are no great distances and everything is very close at hand.

 

The name of Broadstairs (literally "wide stairs") comes from an old flight of stairs that went from the beach, for the cliff, to the Sanctuary of Santa Maria, of the XI century, in the top.

 

The beaches of Botany Bay and Joss Bay have been awarded blue flag in 2005. The Viking Bay beach, the main beach of Broadstairs, got the blue flag in 2006. The Dickens museum, on the beach.

Today Broadstairs is a magnet for visitors year after year and has been proclaimed as the city of Cornish fishing.

LANGUAGE CENTRE

 

The course takes place in the center's own facilities. The campus is located in the center of the city. Near the medical center and the most important bus connections. With capacity for 72 students, there is no overcrowding in the courses.

ACADEMIC PROGRAMME

Our English courses for teenagers are designed to encourage students to practice their English in a supportive environment, both in class and through the social program. The courses focus on improving listening, developing fluency and building trust by putting into practice what they have learned in school. The course consists of 15/20 weekly classes of 50 minutes each, taught from Monday to Friday, in the morning and / or afternoon. The teachers are native and experienced in teaching English as a foreign language. In his method they place special emphasis on the oral part of the language, incorporating debates, games and conversation, as well as classes dedicated to grammar. The first day of class, you take a test to determine your level and integrate at the level that best suits your knowledge. At the end of the course, you receive a certificate of attendance and a report of your progress. The monitor works together with the staff of the school for the correct functioning of the course, both in its academic aspect and in the activities and excursions. The monitor has a mobile phone so that students and parents can communicate when necessary.

                 

ACCOMMODATION

 

The accommodation is in a family of maximum confidence, selected by our accommodation officer, on a half-board basis (Breakfast / Dinner).

 

In the family, you are the only Spanish-speaking student. Normally, the travel time does not exceed 30 minutes walking. Otherwise you will be given a transport pass suitable for the needs of the transfer.

ACTIVIDADES

 

Social, cultural and sports activities are an important part of the program, which will be managed by the student at his / her free disposal. On these excursions the Hastings College organizes cultural trips and excursions to London, Brighton, Canterbury. The program:

  • Sports and cultural activities after class: tennis, basketball, visits to smugglers caves, water sports, visits to museums ...

  • Excursions on Saturdays: Brighton, Canterbury, London ...

  • Excursion to the Lightwater Valley amusement park with access included to all facilities

INCLUDE
